It's Beginning to Look Alot Like Christmas!!

Pumpkins are being carved, and jackets are being dug out from the depths of our closets. Yes, fall has definitely arrived. Of course, we have lots of fun items for Halloween fun here at your local Hallmark: everything from candy jars with frightful surprises to cute Hallmark cards to drop someone special a Happy Halloween wish!

But of course, we are also gearing up for Chirstmas. Our Hallmark keepsake ornaments have been on display for a bit, and we have more boxes of Christmas goodies showing up on the UPS truck everyday. Be sure to mark November 8th on your calendar. That's Christmas Open House in Downtown Cleveland, and we can't wait to decorate the store with sparkles and red and green trim!

As we enter the Holiday season, many of you may already be thinking about Christmas gifts and cards. Don't forget our monogram and applique' services! How cute will your kids look on the Christmas cards this year with a cute little personalized shirt! We are also hard at work on monogrammed Christmas ornaments! It's Greek to Me!

It is once again that time of year. Yes, it is time to go back to school. With school, comes waking up early; homework and lots of running around. However, going back to school is yet another new beginning. After a nice summer break, it's time for new friends, new notebooks and new clothes!
If your little one is getting ready to plod off to preschool for the first time or getting ready move up to "big kid" class. Getting a cute applique' on a t-shirt, dress or jon-jon will be the perfect way to make a fabulous first impression on all those other eager classmates! We not only have initials, but we also have a vaiety of images from which to choose. The crab and whale below are just the beginning. There are trees, ladybugs, elephants and many others. We can even do an applique' initial and monogram your child's name right over the letter. This is one of my favorites!
For many local college students, back-to-school means Sorority Recruitment, or "Rush," as it was once called. We are now carrying lots of items for our sororities and fraternities. We have applique' pillowcases and towels in the store, and we are also doing letter shirts. For letter shirts, we will have a selection of t-shirts and fabrics, but you are welcome to bring in your own to fit your personality or that of your Little! We will try our best to make it as special as can be!
Even adults can get in on the fun of applique'! We have already done several applique' initials on make-up cases. They would also be so cute on the waffle-weave towel wraps sold in the Hallmark store!

As stereotypes go, we Southerners have quite a few with which to contend. Some we find are more favorable than others, but there is a basis of truth in them all. Across the country, there is nowhere that loves monogramming more than the South. As a child is born; a grandaughter is wed or a good friend reaches a milestone in life, there is no better way to mark the occasion than to give a gift with a personal touch.

2009 Ornament Preview

It's Christmas in July! It may be 110 degrees in the shade, but it is once again time to start thinking about Christmas at your local Hallmark store. For all you ornament junkies, tomorrow is the day you've been waiting on all year.
The 2009 Hallmark Chirstmas ornament collection will be unveiled downtown on Saturday, July 11. Come on by, and check out all the cute new pieces to add to your collection. There will of course be Barbies and Sports Figures and all the new additions to your personal series, but there are sure to be some fun surprises in store as well.
Also, it's never too early to start picking up a few Christmas happies for friends and families. You know how busy it gets when the holiday season rolls around. We've got some great stocking stuffers, such as initial jewelry, Webkinz and Tracksters. We are also in full swing with our monogramming! We can't wait to start working on all those cute Christmas outfits and stockings!
